FACTORY-LOOK GAUGE MOUNTING ON THE 70 A-PILLAR

GAUGE MOUNTING THAT LOOKS LIKE IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY

Fitting aftermarket gauges to a 70 Series is the kind of upgrade that pays back every time you check boost pressure on a long climb, EGT under load, or transmission temperature when towing heavy. The challenge is mounting them somewhere visible without making the cabin look like a hack job. A pillar pod replaces or covers the factory A pillar trim with a moulded mount that holds one or two 52mm gauges right in your line of sight. Clean, factory adjacent, no drilling into the dash.

HIGH IMPACT ABS, NO DRILL FITMENT

Each pillar pod is moulded from high impact ABS or polyurethane that handles cabin temperatures, vibration, and UV exposure without cracking or warping. The pod is shaped to follow the contour of the 70 Series A pillar for a flush fit with no gaps. Mounting clips onto existing pillar trim or replaces it entirely using factory mounting points and supplied hardware. Installation takes around twenty minutes. The gauge cutouts accept standard 52mm mechanical or digital gauges from any major brand.

SINGLE AND DUAL GAUGE OPTIONS ACROSS THE 70 SERIES

This collection covers single gauge and dual gauge pillar pods to suit the 79 Series single cab and dual cab, 78 Troop Carrier, and 76 Wagon across both VDJ V8 (2007 to 2023) and GDJ facelift (2024 onward) generations. The A pillar shape changed slightly with the facelift so the pods are model specific. Each listing confirms exact year and body style fitment. Pillar pods are typically fitted alongside boost gauges, pyrometers, or transmission temperature gauges as part of a serious touring or towing build.
