VENTILATE THE WAGON WITHOUT INVITING THE WEATHER IN
WINDOWS DOWN, WEATHER OUT
Owners of a 76 Wagon know the constant trade-off. Crack a window for cabin airflow and you invite rain straight in, dust into every corner, and a wind tunnel through the cabin at highway speed. Weather shields sit above each window and angle rain over the gap, smooth the airflow over the roof, and let trapped cabin heat escape when the wagon is parked in the sun. You can finally leave the windows cracked at camp or on a hot day without coming back to a soaked driver's seat.
UV STABLE ACRYLIC, MOULDED TO THE 76 WINDOW SHAPE
The wagon carries more side glass than any other 70 Series body, so the shields come as a matched four-piece set with the rear pair shaped to the wagon's taller back doors rather than reusing the front profile. The acrylic is UV-stabilised to keep an even tint across that larger surface, with none of the patchy yellowing cheaper shields show as the years stack up. Each one beds onto automotive-grade 3M tape backed by a concealed clip, so there is no drilling and nothing permanent. Sitting flush to the frame, they stay silent at highway speed and do not work loose on the corrugations a family wagon sees plenty of out bush.
FOUR PIECE SETS COVERING ALL DOORS
76 Wagon sets cover all four windows: two front and two rear. HZJ76, VDJ76, and GDJ76 wagons each have shields matched to the specific window frame profile of that generation. The 2024 facelift window frames are slightly different to the VDJ76, so the shields are model specific. Each product listing confirms exact year fitment. Weather shields are commonly fitted alongside bonnet protectors and headlight protectors as part of a complete front end and cabin protection package.
