The mid-section of a 70 Series exhaust runs from the dump pipe to the rear muffler, with a long pipe assembly that carries exhaust gas under the chassis and around the rear suspension. The factory mid-pipes are mild steel and a known rust failure point on older vehicles. Aftermarket pipe assemblies in this collection replace the factory mid-pipe with stainless steel construction that survives years longer than the original. Available as intermediate pipes, tailpipe assemblies, and crossover pipes depending on which section of the exhaust needs replacement.

STAINLESS STEEL WITH FACTORY-SPEC HANGERS

Each pipe assembly is built from 409 grade stainless steel for long-term corrosion resistance in coastal and outback conditions. Mandrel-bent for smooth internal flow rather than crush-bent for cheap manufacturing, which keeps the cross-section consistent through every bend. Hangers are positioned to match the factory mounting points under the 70 Series chassis. Flange connections at each end seal against supplied gaskets. Bore sizing is matched to the specific engine and exhaust configuration, with 2.5 inch for 1HZ-powered vehicles and 3 inch for V8 setups.

1HZ AND 1HD-FTE PIPE OPTIONS

This collection covers pipe assemblies primarily for the 1HZ-powered 75, 78, and 79 Series built between 1990 and 2007 where the factory mid-pipes commonly rust through and need replacement.
